Jolene Panigot, CTA
Jolene recently joined the GSWIDA Team as our new Executive Director after a successful career in the hospitality industry spanning over 28 years in the field, where she began her career in her home State of Colorado while an intern pursing her degree in Business Management from Metropolitan State University Campus in Denver.
She relocated to DFW with her husband in 1991 and has worked in the hotel industry ever since. Over the decades she has worked for both franchise and corporate owned hotels in a myriad of areas, and was consistently recognized for her dedication to the job earning numerous awards, incentive trips for her hotel being name one of the “Best of the Best” as well as monetary awards for her skills in the hospitality arena.
Her passion in the travel industry is a natural fit for Jolene as she has traveled around the world to such areas as Scandinavia, Eastern & Western Europe, Central America, Northern Africa, and Asia. While in these areas she makes it a point to interact with her local counterpart and business travelers to pick their brains for ideas to incorporate in the Dallas/Ft.Worth area.
Jolene is a 1990 graduate of the Metropolitan State University in Denver, Colorado. She is a military veteran of Operation Desert Storm having served with an Air Force Reserve C-130 flying squadron deployed in support of that mission. She is married to Larry Panigot, a recently retired Special Agent with the Office of Export Enforcement and lives with their beagle, Charley, AKA Charley Girl.
